National Hispanic Cancer Awareness Day

A campaign to curb the impact of cancer among Hispanics

September 15 is National Hispanic Cancer Awareness Day (NHCAD), an opportunity for organizations around the country to promote and sponsor activities that emphasize cancer awareness, screening, prevention and education.

In the United States, cancer has adversely affected Hispanics becoming the leading cause of death for this community. Approximately 22% of all causes of death among Hispanics in the US is attributed to cancer.
